Chatham Saw Mill is situated in Port Blair the capital of Andaman & Nicobar island. Amazingly It is the Oldest Saw mill In Asia and set up in 1883. But in the World war - 2 this mill was destroyed and again revived in 1950. The museum showcase the forest activities of the Andaman islands and gives you many information about the saw mill working. You can also see the decorative good of the different kinds of famous woods in Andaman island and known for the different reasons like Padauk, Marble, Peauma, Gurjan, Satin Wood etc.
The Timing of of Chatham Saw Mill is 8.30 AM TO 2.30 PM ( CLOSED ON SUNDAY & Govt. HOLIDAYS) and the entry fee is Adult 20/- & CHILDREN:- 10/-
